     Louis Channing Ball was born in June 1879 at NE.^1,3 He was the son of Willis Ball and Mary Ella Ide.¹ Louis Channing Ball married Maude Hammond say 1902.⁴ Louis Channing Ball died on 19 January 1914 at Lincoln, Lancaster Co., NE, at age 34.⁴ He was buried at Beatrice Cemetery, Beatrice, Gage Co., NE.⁴

     Nancy A. Putnam was born circa 13 June 1832 at Ferrisburgh, Addison Co., VT; age at death 65y 3m 5d.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Putnam and Betsey Cogswell.¹ Nancy A. Putnam married George Varney, son of Alpheus Varney and Philena Palmer, say 1858.² Nancy A. Putnam died on 18 September 1897 at Charlotte, Chittenden Co., VT.¹ She was buried at Quaker Cemetery, Monkton, Addison Co., VT.³
     Her married name was Ball. As of say 1858,her married name was Varney.

     Garrett Shirley was born circa 1844 at Canada.¹ He was the son of Thomas Shirley and Katherine (????)¹ Garrett Shirley married Mandana A. Ball, daughter of Mason Ball and Elizabeth Benton, on 30 November 1873 at Granville, Addison Co., VT.¹

     George Varney was born circa 1838 at VT.¹ He was the son of Alpheus Varney and Philena Palmer.² George Varney married Nancy A. Putnam, daughter of Charles Putnam and Betsey Cogswell, say 1858.¹ George Varney died in 1925.³ He was buried at Quaker Cemetery, Monkton, Addison Co., VT.³

     Comment by DGB: Since this child was not living with her "parents" on the 1870 census nor was a similar age child of that name listed in the census, it may be that she was adopted. End of comment.

     Adele Mabel French was born circa 1859 at Barre, Washington Co., VT.¹ She was the daughter of Henry W. French and Susan Cornelia Parker.¹ Adele Mabel French married Robert Aurocius Ball, son of Daniel Ball and Frances M. Hurlburt, on 29 September 1881 at Barre, Washington Co., VT; "R. A. Ball" and "Bell French."¹
     As of 29 September 1881,her married name was Ball.¹

     Elizabeth Ball was born circa 1805 at MA.¹
