     Judson T. Wilsey was born circa 1841 at Lenox, Susquehanna Co., PA.1 He was the son of Matthew Wilsey and Mary Ball.1 Judson T. Wilsey married Mary Sherman, daughter of Richard Sherman and Anna Smith, circa 1863.1 Judson T. Wilsey and Mary Sherman were divorced.1 Judson T. Wilsey married Melissa Pixley, daughter of Lorenzo Dow Pixley and Mary H. Turk, on 27 May 1872 at Butler Co., NE.1 Judson T. Wilsey and Melissa Pixley were divorced circa 1881.2 Judson T. Wilsey married Mary Hellena Welch, daughter of George W. Welch and Martha Beebe, on 8 July 1881 at Springville, Susquehanna Co., PA.1 Judson T. Wilsey died on 6 January 1891 at Uniontown, Whitman Co., WA.1
     He served in the Civil War and enlisted on 22 August 1861 at Newton, Jasper Co., IA. His Civil War record included: enlistment as a Private in Captain John A. Garrett's Company "I" of the 10th Iowa Regulars of US Infantry Volunteers to serve three years. He was born in Susquehanna in the State of Pennsylvania and was age 21, 5 feet 10 1/2 inches high, fair complexion, blue eyes, light hair, and a farmer when he enlisted. He was discharged on 14 August 1862 at St. Louis MO for medical reasons. Judson enlisted again on 18 January 1864 into Captain C. W. Steele's Company "A" of the 4th Wisconsin Regiment of US Cavalry Volunteers at Albion, Wisconsin to serve 3 years. He was discharged for medical reasons (epilepsy) on 5 April 1865 at Baton Rouge LA and requested his address be listed as Black River Falls, Jackson County, Wisconsin.2 He on filed a Declaration for Original Invalid Pension 11 May 1878 at Platte Co., NE. Judson T. Willsey, aged 38 years of county of Butler, state of Nebraska, appeared before John Stauffer, clerk of the District Court and declared he was the identical Judson T. Willsey who enlisted under the name of Judson T. Willsey on the 22 day of Augt 1861, as a Private in company I of the 10 regiment of Iowa Infantry Volunteers commanded by John A.Garrett and was honorably discharged at St. Louis on the 14 day of August 1862. He claimed that while in the service and in the line of his duty, he contracted general debility of his system and disease of the heart caused by chronic diarrhea, hard and forced marches, exposure and from causes incident to the service, etc. There were two Witnesses to his signature: Amenzo Loamis and Matthew Willsey, both residing in Butler County Nebraska.3 From his widow's statement made 3 August 1927: after marriage Judson worked 3 years at a sawmill, then became a druggist in Uniontown, Washington. He attended jefferson Medical College in Philadephia and after completing his course in medicine, he began practice of his profession in Uniontown, Washington, where he continued until his death.2

Lester Joseph Wilsey1

     Lester Joseph Wilsey was born on 28 July 1898 at Black River Falls, Jackson Co., WI.1 He was the son of Jabez Willsey and Nellie Schoolcraft.1 Lester Joseph Wilsey married Dovie Lee Murray, daughter of Charles A. Murray and Kinnell Cora Ella Garmon, circa 1923.1,2 Lester Joseph Wilsey died on 27 January 1967 at Blue Mountain, Calhoun Co., AL, at age 68.1 He was buried at Edgemont Cemetery, Anniston, Calhoun Co., AL.1
     He lost his mother and a sister in 1901, his father Jabez in 1902, and his only surviving sibling Florence in 1905. Lester was listed on the census of 1910 Jackson Co. WI., as adopted son, with Alonzo and Eunice Irish. Eunice was Lester's mother's sister. According to the court guardianship records, they were suppose to have been his guardians to look after him and his property until he was of age. Maybe the census taker was just told that he was adopted. When Lester got old enough, he left his home in Wisconsin and joined the army in Arizona. He signed on as Lester Jay Willsey (he later dropped one of the 'L' from his surname). Lester re-enlisted in the army twice, ending up at Fort McClellan in Anniston, Calhoun Co., Alabama, where he meet Dovie Murray, got out of the army, and married.3

The funeral will be held at the home at 10:30 o'clock this morning, conducted by Rev.
W.F. Emery. The foster parents of the little girl have the sympathy of all in their sorrow.2
