     From an obituary in "The Eugene Guard": L. W. Rowling, 66, a retired groceryman of this city and prominent in civic and fraternal affairs, died at his home, Eleventh Avenue West and Chambers Street, last night, gollowing a lingering illness. Mr. Rowling conducted a number of grocery stores here and in Santa Clara. He was a member of the Masonic and Modern Woodmen lodges. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. L. W. Rowling, and six children, namely as follows: Mrs. A. B. Clubb, Walla Walla; Thomas R. Rowling, Kalamazoo, Mich; Mrs.Kenneth Shetterly of Willamina; lincoln and Carolyn Rowling of Eugene.⁴

     From an obituary in "The Eugene Register-Guard": Lincoln G. Rowling of 1151 East 25th Avenue died January 16, 1957. He was born September 16, 1903 in Lake Villa, Illinois, and lived in Eugene a large part of his life. He was a member of the Eugene Mosse Lodge. Surviving are 2 children: Gilbert L. Rowling, Mrs. Euphama Partlow, both of Portland; 5 grand-children; his mother, Mrs. Elma Rowling of Eugene; 2 brothers: Loy W. Rowling of Eugene and Homer J. Rowling of Atlanta, Georgia; 3 sisters; Mrs. A. B. Clubb of Carmel, Calif., Mrs. Kenneth Shetterly of Willamine, Ore., and Mrs. F. P. Hugen of Portland.²
