The deceased was widely and favorably known throughout this section and in Oil City where he conducted a livery and cab business for a period of 28 years, leaving there eight years ago to return to his native community to operate a stage line and mail route between West Hickory and Endeavor. Mr. Ball was born in Hickory Township, Forest County, Pa., his parents being the late Nelson and Martha Hunter Ball Sr. He was twice married, his first wife being Miss Ida Shuret of Binghamton, N.Y., who died while the family lived in Oil City. To this union were born seven children, five of whom survive, as follows: Frank of Oil City; Seward of Pleasantville; Grover of Erie; Mrs. Frank Bradley of Oil City, Miss Ida Ball of East Hickory. He is survived by his second wife who was the Miss Delva Kiffer, and the following children by this union: Nelson, Isaac Homer Jr., and Evan all at home. One brother, William N. Ball of Tionesta and three sisters also survive, as follows: Mrs. Sally Albaugh of East Hickory, Mrs. J.J. Zahniser of New Brighton, Pa., and Mrs. W.E.
