Barton and Harriet Ann McCann, on 21 February 1883 at Hawkesbury West, Prescott Co., ON, Canada.¹ John Henry Allen died on 12 April 1913 at Longueuil, Prescott Co., ON, Canada, at age 57.² He was buried at Cassburn Cemetery, L'Original, Prescott & Russell, ON, Canada.⁵

Barton and Harriet Ann McCann.¹ Margaret Jane Barton was baptized on 4 May 1854 at Hawkesbury West, Prescott Co., ON, Canada.² She married John Henry Allen, son of Richard Allen and Mary Hunter, on 21 February 1883 at Hawkesbury West, Prescott Co., ON, Canada.¹ Margaret Jane Barton died on 29 December 1926 at Longueuil, Prescott Co., ON, Canada, at age 73.³ She was buried at Cassburn Cemetery, Longueuil, Prescott & Russell, ON, Canada.²

     As of 3 November 1840,her married name was Sproule. Comment by DGB: There is a census family lin Caledonia, Prescott & Russell, ON, Canada of Blaney Sproul with his mother Mary (b. 22 Aug 1827 in Ireland). That is not the Mary (Barton) Sproule that was b. 22 Aug 1826 in Ireland and was the widow o John Sproule. Same given name and birthday, but a different Mary and the son Blaney was not a son of John.
