     He served in the Civil War and enlisted on 5 October 1861 at OH. His Civil War record included: service as a Private in the 6th Cavalry Regiment, Ohio. His regiment fought in many battles in Virginia and Maryland. He mustered out 5 October 1864 as a Captain.3
