     Harriet Stevens was born on 12 May 1796 at New Haven, New Haven Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of Earl Stevens.² Harriet Stevens married John Ball Hotchkiss, son of Lent Hotchkiss and Sarah Ball, on 31 January 1819.² Harriet Stevens died on 5 November 1893 at New Haven, New Haven Co., CT, at age 97.¹
     As of 31 January 1819,her married name was Hotchkiss.

     Ellen Jane Thomas was the daughter of Hezekiah Thomas.² Ellen Jane Thomas married John Ball Hotchkiss, son of John Ball Hotchkiss and Harriet Stevens, on 21 April 1851.¹

     Emily Amanda Ball was born on 16 October 1815 at New York, New York Co., NY.¹ She was the daughter of Flamen Ball and Ann Western.¹ Emily Amanda Ball married John Stuart Patterson, son of Samuel Patterson and Mary Stewart, on 8 December 1835 at Cincinnati, OH.¹ Emily Amanda Ball died on 7 March 1879 at Brooklyn, Kings Co., NY, at age 63.²

     John Stuart Patterson was born on 19 February 1812 at PA. He was the son of Samuel Patterson and Mary Stewart. John Stuart Patterson married Emily Amanda Ball, daughter of Flamen Ball and Ann Western, on 8 December 1835 at Cincinnati, OH.¹ John Stuart Patterson died on 3 April 1886 at Fordham, Bronx Co., NY, at age 74.²

     Samuel Wright Phelps was born on 6 November 1783 at Marlborough, Middlesex Co., MA.¹ He was the son of Roger Phelps and Elizabeth Rice.¹ Samuel Wright Phelps married Martha Galusha Bowen, daughter of Ashley Bowen and Hannah Galusha, on 18 May 1805 at Marlboro, Middlesex Co., MA.² Samuel Wright Phelps married Ann Western, daughter of Thomas Western and Ann Membery, on 24 February 1835 at Cincinnati, Madison Co., OH.^3,2 Samuel Wright Phelps died on 12 April 1837 at Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., OH, at age 53.¹
