     Moses Ball enlisted 19 September 1775 and was discharged 19 November 1778. He was an Army private with Ichabod Dexter's Company, Col. Doolittle's Regiment.      He was a Private in Captain Ichabod Dexter’s Company of Minutemen from Athol, and in Colonel Doolittle’s Regiment. Isaac marched on the Alarm of April 19, 1775 and also participated in the siege of Boston. His total service time for the Alarm was 13 days and he traveled 160 miles in the campaign.

     Zerubabel Ball was born on 18 May 1742 at Brookfield, Worcester Co., MA; "Zerubabell."2 He was the son of Thomas Ball and Hannah Wright.1 Zerubabel Ball married Submitty Hines.1 Zerubabel Ball married Mary Burns circa March 1765.1 Zerubabel Ball married Mary Whittaker.1 Zerubabel Ball and Mary Burns posted marriage intentions in March 1765; "Zerubbabell Ball and Mary Bruce."3 Zerubabel Ball died on 25 November 1829 at Schuyler, Herkimer Co., NY, at age 87.4
     He enlisted in the Revolutionary War from Rutland.1 They were living in Schuyler, NY in 1828.1

     Hannah Ball was born on 29 April 1744 at Brookfield, Worcester Co., MA.2 She was the daughter of Thomas Ball and Hannah Wright.1 Hannah Ball married Moses Ranger, son of Joseph Ranger and Hannah Payne, in 1772 at Brookfield, Worcester Co., MA; "Moses Rainger."1,3 Hannah Ball died on 28 December 1828 at Colrain, Franklin Co., MA, at age 84.
     Comment by DGB: Some trees have assigned Hannah (b. 28 Nov 1764) as a daughter to Moses and Hannah, but that Hannah was the daughter of William and Mehitabel Ranger of Brookfield MA.
     There was a marriage in Colrain, MA 2 Feb 1813 between a Moses Ranger, Jr. and Jenney Smith that may have been a son. End of comment. As of 1772,her married name was Ranger.3
