Beal, son of Caleb Beal and Martha L. Burrell, on 7 May 1868 at Hingham, Plymouth Co., MA; "Martha B. Corthell."² Martha Proctor Ball died on 21 February 1873 at Hingham, Plymouth Co., MA, at age 31.³
     After her mother's death in 1847, she was adopted by her uncle Levi Corthell.¹ As of 7 May 1868,her married name was Beal.

     George W. Beal was born circa 19 December 1838 at Cohasset, Norfolk Co., MA; age at death 63y 11m 9d.² He was the son of Caleb Beal and Martha L. Burrell.² George W. Beal married Martha Proctor Ball, daughter of Frederick Augustus Ball and Mary L. Corthell, on 7 May 1868 at Hingham, Plymouth Co., MA; "Martha B. Corthell."³ George W. Beal died on 28 November 1902 at Cohasset, Norfolk Co., MA.²

     Nancy Bugbee was born circa 1775; age at death 67y.² She married William Ball, son of Josiah Ball and Esther Ward, on 24 January 1793 at Brimfield, Hampden Co., MA.¹ Nancy Bugbee died on 22 April 1842 at Springfield, Hampden Co., MA; "widow Ann."^3,4
     Nancy Bugbee was also known as Anna.⁵ As of 24 January 1793,her married name was Ball.

     William Ball was born on 8 August 1797 at Brimfield, Hampden Co., MA.² He was the son of William Ball and Nancy Bugbee.¹ William Ball was baptized on 27 April 1809 at First Church, Springfield, Hampden Co., MA.³ He married Parmelia Hitchcock on 2 September 1819 at Suffield, Hartford Co., CT.⁴ William Ball died on 15 November 1876 at age 79.¹
