Elbridge Gerry Ball1
M, #4397, b. 27 April 1827, d. 5 July 1910
Elbridge Gerry Ball was born on 27 April 1827 at Newark, Caledonia Co., VT; Comment by DGB: His age at death was 83y 2m 11d, which calculates back to a birth date of 24 Apr 1827. This compares well for the day and month to the indexed birth record of 27 Apr 1825. My suspicion is that the index card for his birth is off by 2 years, because his birth date on the 1900 census shows April 1827 and his death record supports that date; as well Elbridge was living in 1900 with brother Albro and sister Almeda and both of their birth dates on that census are correct. End of comment.2,3,4 He was the son of Perley Ball and Phebe Smith.5 Elbridge Gerry Ball died on 5 July 1910 at Newark, Caledonia Co., VT, at age 83.2 He was buried at Newark Street Cemetery, Newark, Caledonia Co., VT.6
