     Comment by DGB: Warren in his book lists this child as "Emery A.", but the 1850 census lists the child of that age as "Emaly", a female. End of comment. Emily A. Ball appeared on the census of 19 August 1850 at Bridgton, Cumberland Co., ME; "Emaly" age 20, b. ME, with parents, etc.² She appeared on the census of 12 June 1860 at Bridgton, Cumberland Co., ME; "Emily" age 28, b. ME, milliner, with parents, etc.³

     Emily Alzada Ball was born in February 1858 at MO.⁴ She was the daughter of Joseph Evans Ball and Mary Elizabeth Gray.³ Emily Alzada Ball married George M. Lukens, son of Eli B. Lukens and Achsah (????), on 24 August 1876 at Caldwell Co., MO; "Emilie A. Ball."⁵
