     Edward Kingman Ball was born circa 1838 at Bridgewater, Plymouth Co., MA.¹ He was the son of Lyman Ball and Abigail W. Kingman.¹ Edward Kingman Ball married Ellen L. Quiggle, daughter of Friend Quiggle and Catherine (????), on 7 August 1869 at Foxboro, Norfolk Co., MA.² Edward Kingman Ball died in 1892 at Mansfield, Bristol Co., MA.³
     Edward Kingman Ball appeared on the census of 25 July 1850 at Attleborough, Bristol Co., MA; "Edward K." age 12, b. MA, with parents, etc.¹ He appeared on the census of 26 July 1860 at Mansfield, Bristol Co., MA; "Edward K." age 22, b. MA, shoe maker, with parents, etc.⁴

     Edward L. Ball was born circa December 1909 at NH.¹ He was the son of George M. Ball and Ida McCoy.¹

     Edward L. Ball was born on 29 November 1843 at Sebec, Piscataquis Co., ME.¹ He was the son of William Ball and Charlotte A. Hanson.¹ Edward L. Ball married Sarah Livermore Walker, daughter of Augustus Willard Walker and Abigail Hanson.¹
     He married just before enlisting for the Civil War. He started home from Louisiana at the end of the War, but was never heard of again. Comment by DGB: The problem here is that if Edward was away from his wife from sometime in 1864 or earlier and never returned, is the birth date of Ophelia possible? End of comment.¹ Edward L. Ball appeared on the census of 19 July 1850 at Sebec, Piscataquis Co., ME; "Edward L." age 6, b. ME, with parents, etc.² He appeared on the census of 8 June 1860 at Sebec, Piscataquis Co., ME; "Edward L." age 16, b. ME, with parents, etc.³ He served in the Civil War and enlisted on 4 November 1861 at Sebec, Piscataquis Co., ME. His Civil War record included: enlistment into into H Company, 11th Infantry (Maine) and mustering out on 18 November 1864.⁴

     Edward L. Ball was born circa 1859 at ME.¹ He was the son of George F. Ball and Harriet N. (????).¹ Edward L. Ball died before June 1870; Comment by DGB: he was not with the family for the 1870 census and another brother was named Edward about a year later, indicating that this child had died young. End of comment.²

NY, stone mason, with father, etc.⁴ He appeared on the census of 27 June 1860 at Shiawassee, Shiawassee Co., MI; "Charles E." age 30, b. NY, farmer, with wife Sarah and children James and Cora; living near brother Ebenezer.³ He appeared on the census of 27 July 1870 at Shiawassee, Shiawassee Co., MI; "Orville E." age 39, b. NY, farmer, with wife Sarah and children James, Cora, and Jesse: living next to brother Ebenezer.⁵ He appeared on the census of 4 June 1880 at Owosso, Shiawassee Co., MI; "Edwin" age 45, b.
