Brooks, on 22 August 1927 at Contoocook, Merrimack Co., NH.² Lena Mabel Conant died on 13 June 1996 at Concord, Merrimack Co., NH, at age 98.¹

     Clarence Franklin Ball was born on 24 February 1878 at South Lancaster, Worcester Co., MA.^1,2 He was the son of Alonzo Eugene Ball and Elizabeth Candice Rice.¹ Clarence Franklin Ball married Mary Olive Marsh, daughter of John Wesley Marsh and Lucina Rawson, on 21 September 1902.¹ Clarence Franklin Ball died on 15 May 1949 at Rutland, Rutland Co., VT, at age 71.³
     He entered the American Medical Missionary College at Chicago and was graduated with the degree of Doctor of Medicine in 1902. For two years he was the assistant physician at the New England Sanitarium at Melrose, Massachusetts. In 1905 he began to practice at Rutland, Vermont. He was appointed health officer of the city of Rutland in 1907 and held that office until November 1912.¹
