     Dorothy J. Uber was born on 27 August 1924 at Bowling Green, Wood Co., OH.^1,2,3 She was the daughter of Howard Thomas Uber and Rae Beauchamp.¹ Dorothy J. Uber married Ashel Bryan, son of Ezra K. Bryan and Katherine C. (????), on 17 September 1943.² Dorothy J. Uber died on 15 February 2001 at Wood Co., OH, at age 76.² She was buried at Oak Grove Cemetery, Bowling Green, Wood Co., OH.²

     John S. Beauchamp is the son of Reed Bennett Beauchamp and Helen Katherine Philley.¹

     Rex Monroe Bennett was born on 23 December 1910 at Oakwood, Paulding Co., OH.^3,4 He was the son of Goldsby Alaska Bennett and Ida Ellen Monroe.¹ Rex Monroe Bennett married Avis Shisler, daughter of Homer Shisler and Nellie McMillen, on 12 October 1940 at Oakwood, Paulding Co., OH.⁴ Rex Monroe Bennett died on 17 October 2005 at Bryan, Williams Co., OH, at age 94.² He was buried at Rochester Cemetery, Cecil, Paulding Co., OH.⁵
     From an obituary: Rex M. Bennett, 94, Sherwood, died Monday, Oct. 17, 2005, at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers, Bryan. He was born Dec. 23, 1910, in Oakwood, the son of Goldsby and Ida (Monroe) Bennett. In 1940, he married Avis Shisler, who preceded him in death. He was a farmer and retired in 1981 from the Ohio Department of Transportation. He was a member of Sherwood United Methodist Church, where he served in many capacities over 50 years; and a life member of Defiance County Historical Society where he was given the Order of AuGlaize for his volunteer service at AuGlaize Village. Surviving are three sons, Vic (Janet) and Dale (Linda) of Sherwood and Vince (Cathy), Cecil; a daughter, Sharon (Mike Wood) Bennett, Cincinnati; a brother, Edgar (Aletha), Continental; a sister, Mrs. Aaron (Doris) Kohart, Payne; and 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.      Doris Bennett was born on 10 March 1912 at Oakwood, Paulding Co., OH.² She was the daughter of Goldsby Alaska Bennett and Ida Ellen Monroe.¹ Doris Bennett married Aaron Doyle Kohart, son of William Kohart and Elizabeth Shafer, on 1 September 1939 at Paulding Co., OH.³ Doris Bennett died on 13 November 2009 at Paulding, Paulding Co., OH, at age 97.⁴ She was buried at Prairie Chapel Cemetery, Oakwood, Paulding Co., OH.⁴
     As of 1 September 1939,her married name was Kohart.³

     Edgar Lee Bennett was born on 2 November 1913 at Oakwood, Paulding Co., OH.³ He was the son of Goldsby Alaska Bennett and Ida Ellen Monroe.¹ Edgar Lee Bennett married Pauline Elsie Weaver, daughter of Frank Peter Weaver and Rebecca Amelia Ditto, on 20 February 1938 at Continental, Putnam Co., OH.² Edgar Lee Bennett and Pauline Elsie Weaver were divorced in 1965.³ Edgar Lee Bennett married Aletha Gunderman, daughter of Grover Gunderman and Bertha Mae Guild, on 9 May 1970 at Putnam Co., OH.² Edgar Lee Bennett died on 4 April 2006 at Defiance, Defiance Co., OH, at age 92.⁴ He was buried at Prairie Chapel Cemetery, Oakwood, Paulding Co., OH.⁴

     Lois Bennett was born on 19 August 1915 at Oakwood, Paulding Co., OH.^1,2 She was the daughter of Goldsby Alaska Bennett and Ida Ellen Monroe.¹ Lois Bennett died on 30 January 1983 at Cloverdale, Putnam Co., OH, at age 67.³ She was buried at Prairie Chapel Cemetery, Oakwood, Paulding Co., OH.⁴
     From an obituary: Lois was born on August 19, 1915, the fourth child and second daughter of G. A. and Ida (Monroe) Bennett. She grew up on the family farm one and a half miles south of Oakwood along what is now Route 66. As a child, she attended Shafer School for one year and then, following its closing, received the rest of her education at the Auglaize - Brown Local School in Oakwood. She graduated in 1934. Following her graduation, she worked at the cigar factory in Delphos. Once the tent factory opened in Oakwood, she went to work there and stayed through it's conversion to the manufacture of venetian blinds. She worked there until the factory closed in early 1970's. Following that, she worked at the Oakwood Post Office. She also did the cleaning at the Oakwood Deposit Bank. Lois was a lifetime member of the Oakwood Methodist Church. For many years, she was the secretary of the children's department. She was also a member of the Washington Township Neighbors Home Demonstration Club. Following the death of her parents, Lois continued to live in the family home. She had two bouts with cancer: one in the late 1950's and another which claimed her life on January 30, 1983.      Homer Francis Bennett was born on 30 May 1917 at Paulding Co., OH.² He was the son of Goldsby Alaska Bennett and Ida Ellen Monroe.¹ Homer Francis Bennett married Helen Grace Westenbarger, daughter of Frank Westenbarger and Maggie Alice Hunt, on 25 December 1941 at Bryan, Williams Co., OH.² Homer Francis Bennett died on 26 August 1985 at Paulding Co., OH, at age 68.² He was buried at Prairie Chapel Cemetery, Oakwood, Paulding Co., OH.³

     Dorthy Bennett was born on 16 October 1919 at Oakwood, Paulding Co., OH.² She was the daughter of Goldsby Alaska Bennett and Ida Ellen Monroe.³ Dorthy Bennett married Horace Edward France, son of Raymond B. France and Clara Gribben, on 24 August 1947 at near Oakwood, Paulding Co., OH.^2,4 Dorthy Bennett died on 16 May 1962 at Bowling Green, Wood Co., OH, at age 42.⁵ She was buried at Milton Township Cemetery, Custar, Wood Co., OH.¹
     As of 24 August 1947,her married name was France.⁵

     Winifred Maxine Bennett was born on 26 September 1914 at Ansonia, Darke Co., OH.^3,4,5 She was the daughter of Arizona Landon Bennett and Orla Belle Yaney.³ Winifred Maxine Bennett married Wilson Eugene Spencer, son of Ralph Spencer and Phoebe Jean Hanna, on 20 February 1937 at Wayne Co., OH.⁴ Winifred Maxine Bennett died on 21 December 2013 at Sidney, Shelby Co., OH, at age 99.⁶ She was buried at Union City Cemetery, Union City, Randolph Co., IN.⁷

     Donna Evangeline Bennett was born on 18 September 1917 at Darke Co., OH.^3,2,4 She was the daughter of Arizona Landon Bennett and Orla Belle Yaney.³ Donna Evangeline Bennett married Hugh Eby Tearney, son of Ralph E. Tearney and Vinne Eby, on 14 September 1935.² Donna Evangeline Bennett died on 5 April 1991 at Indianapolis, Marion Co., IN, at age 73.⁴ She was buried at Greenville Union Cemetery, Greenville, Darke Co., OH.⁵

     Avis Shisler was born on 12 March 1912 at Oakwood, Paulding Co., OH.² She was the daughter of Homer Shisler and Nellie McMillen.¹ Avis Shisler married Rex Monroe Bennett, son of Goldsby Alaska Bennett and Ida Ellen Monroe, on 12 October 1940 at Oakwood, Paulding Co., OH.³ Avis Shisler died on 2 July 1991 at Bryan, Williams Co., OH, at age 79.¹ She was buried at Rochester Cemetery, Cecil, Paulding Co., OH.²
     As of 12 October 1940,her married name was Bennett.¹ From an obituary: Avis Shisler Bennett, 79, Rt. 1, Sherwood, died at 1:40 p.m. July 2, 1991 in the Bryan Nursing Care Center following an extended illness. Born March, 12, 1912 in Paulding County, she was the daughter of Homer and Nellie (McMillen) Shisler. In 1940 she married Rex Bennett and he survives. A homemaker, she was a resident in Defiance and Paulding counties. She was a member of the Sherwood United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband; three sons, Victor of Sherwood, Vincent of Cecil and Dale, Long Island, NY; a daughter Sharon, Cincinnatti and 8 grandchildren.
