     Garrett Logan Ball was born on 10 February 1873 at St. Catharines, Lincoln Co., ON, Canada.^1,2 He was the son of William Henry Washington Ball and Sarah Frances Vine.¹ Garrett Logan Ball married Mabel Anna Ellen Lightfoot, daughter of Levi Wilson Lightfoot and Hannah Elizabeth Casey, on 14 February 1906 at Toronto, York Region, ON, Canada; "Gerrit Loguen Ball" age 30.³ Garrett Logan Ball died on 13 May 1966 at Oakville, ON, Canada, at age 93.¹ He was buried at Victoria Lawn Cemetery, St. Catharines, ON, Canada.¹

     Sophia Hussey was born on 14 October 1821 at Liverpool, England.^2,3 She married Henry Ball on 29 November 1841 at St. James Cathedral, Toronto, York Region, ON, Canada.⁴ Sophia Hussey married Daniel Webster.² Sophia Hussey died on 18 March 1908 at St. Catharines, Lincoln Co., ON, Canada, at age 86.⁵ She was buried at Victoria Lawn Cemetery, St. Catharines, ON, Canada.²
     Comment by DGB: It is possible that Sophia married a Mr. Stephens after the death of Henry Ball and that Mr. Stephens died before the 1861 census for St. Catharines ON Canada, which has a Sophia Stephens, age 41, white race, b. England, with son Richard, age 17, colored race, b. ON. They were living next to an Alex and Susan Ball, born USA, both colored race. End of comment. As of 29 November 1841,her married name was Ball.
