     She left a will on 27 January 1904 at Lee, Berkshire Co., MA, naming brothers Horace and Franklin, niece Nancy Barnes (daughter of sister Aurelia) and nephew and niece Sidney and Minnie Ball (children of brother John).⁴

     Miles Carter was born on 11 April 1787 at Warren, Litchfield Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Benoni Carter and Anna Comstock.¹ Miles Carter married Sarah Ball, daughter of Thomas Ball and Lois Camp, in April 1816 at Salisbury, Litchfield Co., CT.¹ Miles Carter died on 14 June 1863 at Newark, Licking Co., OH, at age 76.¹
