     Amos Ball was born on 20 January 1709 at Boston, Suffolk Co., MA.¹ He was the son of James Ball and Mary Mauge.¹ Amos Ball married Experience Harvey, daughter of Thomas Harvey and Mary Huckins, on 7 January 1738 at Taunton, Bristol Co., MA.² Amos Ball died say 1791 at Taunton, Bristol Co., MA.²
     Comment by DGB: It has not been proven that this Amos Ball was the one that lived and died in Taunton MA. End of comment.

     James Ball was born circa 1715.¹ He was the son of James Ball and Mary Mauge.¹ James Ball married Mary Van Horn, daughter of Born Van Horn and Sarah Smith, on 22 March 1739 at Northampton, Hampshire Co., MA.¹ James Ball died in December 1762 at Marlboro, Windham Co., VT.¹
     He was in the French and Indian War for about three years in Captain Porter's Company.¹

     Mary Van Horn was born on 22 January 1726 at Springfield, Hampden Co., MA.¹ She was the daughter of Born Van Horn and Sarah Smith.¹ Mary Van Horn married James Ball, son of James Ball and Mary Mauge, on 22 March 1739 at Northampton, Hampshire Co., MA.¹ Mary Van Horn died on 6 December 1759 at South Hadley, Hampshire Co., MA, at age 33.¹
     Comment by DGB: Either the birth year for this Mary is incorrect or the wife of James Ball was a different Mary that was born several years earlier. It is of concern that the current data shows Mary to have married James when she was just 13 years old. End of comment.

     Samuel H. Ball was born on 28 February 1743 at Northampton, Hampshire Co., MA.¹ He was the son of James Ball and Mary Van Horn.¹ Samuel H. Ball married Ruth (????).¹ Samuel H. Ball married Phoebe Jane Taylor, daughter of Aaron Taylor and Catherine Parsons, before 1768 at South Hadley, Hampshire Co., MA.¹ Samuel H. Ball died on 17 March 1831 at age 88; in either Sempronius or Niles, Cayuga Co. NY.¹

     Phoebe Jane Taylor was born circa 1740.¹ She was the daughter of Aaron Taylor and Catherine Parsons.¹ Phoebe Jane Taylor married Samuel H. Ball, son of James Ball and Mary Van Horn, before 1768 at South Hadley, Hampshire Co., MA.¹ Phoebe Jane Taylor died on 1 March 1814 at Cayuga Co., NY.¹ She was buried at Kelloggsville Cemetery, Sempronius, Cayuga Co., NY.¹

     Katherine Ball was born on 20 February 1768.^1,2 She was the daughter of Samuel H. Ball and Phoebe Jane Taylor.¹ Katherine Ball married Oliver Goodnow, son of Isaac Goodenow and Susannah (????), at Newfane, Windham Co., VT.¹ Katherine Ball died on 30 October 1850 at South Newfane, Windham Co., VT, at age 82.³

     Oliver Goodnow was the son of Isaac Goodenow and Susannah (????).² Oliver Goodnow married Katherine Ball, daughter of Samuel H. Ball and Phoebe Jane Taylor, at Newfane, Windham Co., VT.¹ Oliver Goodnow died on 2 August 1827 at Newfane, Windham Co., VT.²

     Urania Ball was born on 1 October 1769 at Newfane, Windham Co., VT.¹ She was the daughter of Samuel H. Ball and Phoebe Jane Taylor.¹ Urania Ball married Moses Stockwell circa 1797.¹ Urania Ball died on 28 January 1807 at age 37.¹
      Urania Ball was also known as Maria.¹

     Anna Ball was born on 29 November 1772 at Newfane, Windham Co., VT.¹ She was the daughter of Samuel H. Ball and Phoebe Jane Taylor.¹

     Deacon James Ball was born on 22 November 1774 at Marlboro, Windham Co., VT.¹ He was the son of Samuel H. Ball and Phoebe Jane Taylor.¹ Deacon James Ball married Mary Skovel, daughter of Abner Skovel and Polly (????), on 13 December 1798 at Marlboro, Windham Co., VT.¹ Deacon James Ball married Elenora Perry on 12 March 1843 at Deerfield, Lenawee Co., MI.² Deacon James Ball died on 29 November 1863 at Webster, Washtenaw Co., MI, at age 89.¹ He was buried at Webster United Church of Christ Cemetery, Washtenaw Co., MI.³

     Mary Skovel was born on 24 November 1773 at Brattleboro, Windham Co., VT.¹ She was the daughter of Abner Skovel and Polly (????).¹ Mary Skovel married Deacon James Ball, son of Samuel H. Ball and Phoebe Jane Taylor, on 13 December 1798 at Marlboro, Windham Co., VT.¹ Mary Skovel died on 5 October 1839 at Webster, Washtenaw Co., MI, at age 65.¹ She was buried at Webster United Church of Christ Cemetery, Washtenaw Co., MI.²
