     James Stoddard Stone was born on 4 May 1810 at Rochester, Monroe Co., NY.¹ He was the son of Enos Stone and Clarissa Stoddard.¹ James Stoddard Stone married Sophia Persis Coe, daughter of Martin Oliver Coe and Clara Hatch, on 29 April 1835 at Le Roy, Genesee Co., NY.¹ James Stoddard Stone died on 2 January 1892 at age 81.¹ He was buried at Charlotte Cemetery, Rochester, Monroe Co., NY.¹
