     George Washington Ball was born on 14 January 1847 at Ernestown, Lennox & Addington Co., ON, Canada.^1,2 He was the son of Eli Peters Ball and Sarah Alvira Goodberry.¹ George Washington Ball married Sarah Maria Snider, daughter of Simon Snider and Alvira McLaughlin, on 16 November 1873 at Ernestown, Lennox & Addington, ON, Canada.³ George Washington Ball died in April 1907 at Oaklands, Cayuga Co., NY, at age 60.⁴ He was buried at Weedsport Rural Cemetery, Weedsport, Cayuga Co., NY.⁴
     He was a stone mason contractor and carpenter.¹ From and obituary in "The Auburn Citizen" of Auburn NY: The funeral of the late George W. Ball was held at the family residence at Oaklands - near Weedsport - Thursday, April 4 at 3 p.m; burial was made at Weedsport Rural Cemetery. He was born in Ontario, Canada, and had been a resident of Aurburn for the past 17 years. A short time ago they purchased a farm on the Oaklands thinking it would benefit his health, which has been greatly impaired for the past four years. He was a member of the Mason's Union and a charter member of the K.O.T.M. he was a man of kindly disposition and his death will be regretted by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife and seven children, Mrs. A. Barney, Mrs. E. J. Waldron, George E. Ball of this city, Torance M., Florence E., Wilford E. and Fern B. Ball of Weedsport. three grandchildren also survive.⁴

Baker died on 16 September 1890 at Hopkinton, Middlesex Co., MA.²
     He was a mechanic in 1864.¹
