(Rand) Girouard. Born in Athol, June 10, 1931, a son of Leo W. and Agnes (Truehart) Girouard, Sr., he grew up in Nashua N.H. After graduation from New Mode Barber School, Nashua, N.H., he worked at the former Chaisson's Barber Shop, Orange, for several years. He moved to Greenfield in 1962 where he worked at the former Millers Falls Tool Company. Prior to his retirement he was a repairman at Standard Appliance Company, Greenfield.
A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a member of American Legion Post 81 and a member of First Congregational Church. He sang and played guitar for many years. His hobbies included constructing model boats and flying remote control model airplanes. He was a member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics. Besides his wife he leaves a son, Leo W. Girouard, III; two daughters, Kathy J. Aldrich of Greenfield and Barbara A. Haskins of Turners Falls; a brother, Donald J. Girouard of Nashua, N.H; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in Witty's Funeral Home, 158 South Main St., Orange. Burial will follow in South Cemetery, Orange.2
