     Mary Joanna Ball was born in November 1869 at MI.² She was the daughter of John Ball and Mary Thompson Webster.¹

     Lucy Ball was born on 6 May 1861 at MI.¹ She was the daughter of John Ball and Mary Thompson Webster.¹ Lucy Ball died in 1936.² She was buried at Fulton Street Cemetery, Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI.²

     John Helvetia Ball was born on 12 January 1872.¹ He was the son of John Ball and Mary Thompson Webster.¹ John Helvetia Ball married Mary Verstay in 1893.¹ John Helvetia Ball died on 17 October 1905 at age 33.¹ He was buried at Fulton Street Cemetery, Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI.²
     They resided in Grand Rapids, Michigan They had children, but all died young.¹

     Frank Jerome Powers married Kate Webster Ball, daughter of John Ball and Mary Thompson Webster, in 1893.¹

     Myron Harris Hopkins married Flora Ball, daughter of John Ball and Mary Thompson Webster, on 9 December 1890.¹

     Sarah French married Abel Ball, son of William Ball and Rebecca Kinney, on 23 March 1824 at Hollis, Hillsborough Co., NH.²

     Abel Ball was born on 10 December 1825.¹ He was the son of Abel Ball and Sarah French.¹ Abel Ball married Betsey Evelyn Gilson on 15 March 1854.¹ Abel Ball died on 23 March 1901 at Fremont, Rockingham Co., NH, at age 75.¹
     He was a cooper by trade and settled in Brookline, NH. He also lived in Boston.¹

     Sarah Stevens Cummings was born on 5 February 1813 at Antrim, Hillsborough Co., NH.¹ She was the daughter of Samuel Cummings.² Sarah Stevens Cummings married James Ball, son of William Ball and Rebecca Kinney, on 23 December 1847.¹ Sarah Stevens Cummings died on 13 April 1903 at Malden, Middlesex Co., MA, at age 90.¹
     Sometime circa 1852 James Ball and Sarah Stevens Cummings adopted a son that thereafter went by the name of Henry Ball and a daughter that thereafter went by the name of Clara A. Ball.¹

     James Herbert Ball was born on 23 March 1851.¹ He was the son of James Ball and Sarah Stevens Cummings.¹ James Herbert Ball died on 5 June 1851.¹

     Alma Sarah Ball was born on 31 August 1852 at NH.¹ She was the daughter of James Ball and Sarah Stevens Cummings.¹ Alma Sarah Ball died on 14 August 1860 at age 7.¹

     James Seneca Ball was born on 29 December 1853.¹ He was the son of James Ball and Sarah Stevens Cummings.¹ James Seneca Ball died on 28 February 1854.¹

     Ella Frances Ball was born on 6 November 1855 at NH.¹ She was the daughter of James Ball and Sarah Stevens Cummings.¹

     Henry Ball was born circa 1844 at MA.² He died on 26 June 1862 at Beaufort, Beaufort Co., SC; in the Civil War.¹
     He was adopted circa 1852; he was adopted by James Ball and Sarah Stevens Cummings.¹

     Clara A. Ball was born circa 1849.²
     She was adopted circa 1852; she was adopted by James Ball and Sarah Stevens Cummings.¹

     Elisha P. Ball was born on 10 August 1810 at VT.¹ He was the son of John Ball and Phila Pomeroy.^1,2 Elisha P. Ball married Lydia A. (????) on 1 January 1833.² Elisha P. Ball died on 20 May 1871 at Lyme, Grafton Co., NH, at age 60.²

     Caroline Ward Smith was born circa 1831 at Chatham, Morris Co., NJ.² She was the daughter of Calvin D. Smith.² Caroline Ward Smith married Jasper Newton Ball, son of William Ball and Fanny Danforth, on 9 July 1853.¹ Caroline Ward Smith died on 13 December 1863 at NJ.² She was buried at Fulton Street Cemetery, Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI.³

     Martha Ann Haines was born on 23 April 1829 at Deerfield, NH.² She was the daughter of Daniel Haines and Sophronia Dearborn.² Martha Ann Haines married Jasper Newton Ball, son of William Ball and Fanny Danforth, on 2 October 1864.¹ Martha Ann Haines died on 20 November 1918 at Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI, at age 89.² She was buried at Fulton Street Cemetery, Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI.³

     Louise Ball was born in December 1860 at Turkey.^2,3 She was the daughter of Jasper Newton Ball and Caroline Ward Smith.⁴

     Fanny D. Ball was born in October 1857 at Turkey.^2,3 She was the daughter of Jasper Newton Ball and Caroline Ward Smith.⁴

     William H. Ball was born circa 1865; died young.¹ He was the son of Jasper Newton Ball and Martha Ann Haines.¹

     Carrie Josephine Ball was born on 30 August 1866 at Adrianople, Turkey.² She was the daughter of Jasper Newton Ball and Martha Ann Haines.¹ Carrie Josephine Ball married William Franklin Edwards, son of Hiram Edwards and Angelina Dickey, on 1 September 1891 at Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI.² Carrie Josephine Ball died on 24 April 1925 at Englewood, Bergen Co., NJ, at age 58.²

     William Dearborn Ball was born on 6 February 1867 at Yogat, Turkey.² He was the son of Jasper Newton Ball and Martha Ann Haines.¹ William Dearborn Ball married Alice May Edwards, daughter of Hiram Edwards and Angelina Dickey, on 15 April 1896 at Niles, Berrien Co., MI.² William Dearborn Ball died on 18 January 1955 at Inglewood, Los Angeles Co., CA, at age 87.²

     William Franklin Edwards was born on 13 February 1858 at Rock Island, IL.² He was the son of Hiram Edwards and Angelina Dickey.² William Franklin Edwards married Carrie Josephine Ball, daughter of Jasper Newton Ball and Martha Ann Haines, on 1 September 1891 at Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI.² William Franklin Edwards died on 14 January 1933 at Englewood, Bergen Co., NJ, at age 74.³
     Edwards graduated from the University of Michigan in 1890. He joined the University of Washington faculty on September 4, 1895 as a Professor of Physics. After President Harrington’s resignation on March 24, 1897 Edwards was appointed President. He served as President until October 1 of 1897 when he was replaced by Charles Francis Reeves.      Josephine Lundgren was born on 13 May 1853 at MD.^2,3 She married Frank Webster Ball, son of John Ball and Mary Thompson Webster, in 1877.¹ Josephine Lundgren died on 26 December 1888 at age 35.² She was buried at Fulton Street Cemetery, Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI.²

     Anna Hopkins married Frank Webster Ball, son of John Ball and Mary Thompson Webster, on 1 February 1890.¹
